The Unique MagicTan 3 step spray tan!

Longer lasting tans:

The Unique MagicTan 3 Step process

for the perfect tan……………….. every time !

Prep, Tan, Moisturize!

  1. Consistently darker results
  2. An elimination of random “dodgy” results
  3. Tans that last 2 – 3 days longer
  4. No more patchy comedowns

MagicTan have developed a three step process for achieving the perfect tan every time. Through years of experience and research we found that even using the same machine with exactly the same tanning solution the results we achieved (on women in particular) would vary. The benefit of having machines do the work is that we know with great precision that exactly the “right” amount of tanning solution was used each time. Why then were girls reporting that their tan “was not as good as last time”?

Thanks to the hard work and research of a MagicTan salon in Perth we also discovered that out of a total of 2,500 tans performed in the year that every “bad” tan came down to the following:

1. The client was using anti-depressants

2. The client was on acne medication

3. The client was undergoing chemo therapy

Armed with this information, MagicTan chemist Eric Dann developed a prep spray & gel designed to be applied to the client before tanning solution was applied. What Eric discovered was that drugs in particular could change the pH balance of the skin which in turn affected the way the DHA reacted with the proteins in the skin. Eric then developed a product that could be applied by hand or by spray which neutralized the pH level of the clients’ skin prior to application of the tanning solution. What we found was that randomly “bad” tans seemed to be a thing of the past. If you have ever had a client that got a bad result that you couldn’t explain then the reason was probably something they had consumed and most likely antidepressants!

Eric also discovered that the pH level of a woman’s skin varied depending on the time of the month. Eureka – this was why the girls were asking why their tans were not as good as last time! The darkness of the tan was related to the pH level of the skin and if this was upset by “the time of the month” then they were never going to get consistent tans – at least not without the prep!

The added benefit to what Eric developed was that the aloe vera in the prep also moisturized the skin prior to the application of the solution. By moisturizing the skin you make the skin more absorbent. Result – more tanning solution “sticks” to the skin and you get consistently darker results. Eric tells us it is 30% darker but how you judge this is obviously very subjective! Try it for yourself and see what you think!

Then came the VersaSpa which had the ability of spraying three different products on the clients’ skin. We decided to add some beauty to the process and came up with an anti-aging moisturizer that leaves the skin soft and subtle after the tanning process. Not only that – it smells good too! We went one stage further and added some DHA to the moisturizer which locks the tan in. The result – tans that seem to last 2 – 3 days longer than just prep and tan. In addition we have been noticing that the patchy comedown that spray tans are kinda famous for seems to be a thing of the past. No guarantees but try it and see the results!

The active ingredient in the moisturizer is actually an extract from snake venom. We can’t tell you which snake it is – that is Eric’s little secret. What we do know though is that if it is applied to the face every day, then after 10 – 14 days you will see a visible reduction in fine lines and wrinkles on your face.

Directions for use:

Apply prep spray lightly over entire body. You should spray approximately 20 – 30ml of prep only. Too much prep and you will create a barrier for the spray tanning solution.

Empty any unused prep back into bottle (you don’t have to clean the cup)

Fill cup with tanning solution. You should use 60ml of tanning solution for an average sized client. For darker results try spraying two light coats of 40ml per coat. This will give you darker results without the risk of patchiness and cracking. Your client will also dry much faster.

Empty any unused solution into the bottle. No need to wash cup out.

Dry clients’ body (does not have to be completely dry)

Add 40ml of moisturizer to the cup and spray lightly over the clients’ body

Dry client.

Premium of Normal Tanning solution?

Both of our tanning solutions have 8% DHA content. The difference is the viscosity of the two. Our premium is thicker and we find that it seems to give a longer lasting tan. You may be restricted in what solution you use though as not all hand-held systems can handle the Premium. If you do try it and get speckles you have to turn the air pressure on your machine up to the maximum for optimal results. If your machine cannot handle it then the normal solution is pretty damned good too!

Remember that 60ml is all you should need for the average sized client. If you are using 90ml + then you are spraying too much or your hand-help system is really inefficient. Two light sprays up to 90ml for a dark tan will give you a MUCH better result than spraying the full 90ml on in one application. An added benefit is that your clients will dry faster too leaving you more time for more clients.

MagicTan does not believe in 10% DHA as you can get the dark result you require with two applications without the risk of your client turning orange!

It’s the MagicTan unique three step process. Try it – you will love what you see!
